Home/Services/Basement Flooding

Flooded basement cleanup and drying

Sump pump failures, spring melt, heavy rain and foundation seepage all end the same way — water where your furnace, panel and stored belongings live. We get it out and get the space properly dry.

Basements don’t dry on their own

A basement is the hardest room in a house to dry. It’s below grade, poorly ventilated, and usually finished with materials that hold water — carpet pad, wood framing, fiberglass insulation, cardboard boxes. Fans from the hardware store move air around; they don’t remove the several gallons of water now sitting inside your walls.

We bring commercial extraction, LGR dehumidification and containment, and we make the call on what has to come out versus what can be dried in place. Then we monitor it daily until the readings say it’s actually dry.

Safety first

If water is near your electrical panel, furnace, or any energized equipment, do not enter the basement. Shut power off at the main only if you can reach it safely and dry, and call us from upstairs. If you can’t reach it safely, call your utility.

What we handle

  • Sump pump failure and power-loss flooding
  • Foundation seepage, window well and hatchway intrusion
  • Storm and snowmelt flooding
  • Burst pipes and water heater failures in utility rooms
  • Finished basement rebuild prep — carpet, pad, drywall and insulation removal
  • Antimicrobial treatment and odor control after the water is out

Why property owners call us

  • You get a person, not a call center. Our phones are answered live, 24 hours a day, by people who live and work in this region.
  • Certified crews. IICRC-certified technicians, plus New York State certification for mold work.
  • We handle the insurance side. Documentation, photos, moisture logs and estimates go straight to your adjuster in the format they expect.
  • Local and family-owned. 25+ years in the Capital Region — not a franchise passing your job to a subcontractor.

Not sure whether it’s worth a call? It is. Estimates are free, we’ll tell you honestly if you don’t need us, and the cost of waiting is almost always higher than the cost of finding out. 518-766-9595

Don’t wait for it to dry on its own

Water spreads. Soot sets. Mold can follow.

Call now and talk to a real person — not an answering service in another state. We’ll tell you what to do next, and get a crew moving.
